Scottish actor James McAvoy says that he’s going to quit acting for awhile. He’s been on the hell-avator to stardom lately, with his turns in the first Narnia flick, the Oscar-nominated Atonement, and his new action flick with Angelina Jolie, Wanted. Here he is at the premiere.
This stripper is tired! He has had to run around with goat legs, slam himself against Keira Knightley’s old bones, and canoodle with the most famous Mom in existence. He needs some warm milk, an old movie on the TV and some couch time!
“I’m going to not act for a little while and take some space and take
some time – and make some ‘me’ time, you know, all that rubbish.”
His break might not be that long, because he’s rumored to be the lead candidate for the role of Bilbo Baggins in the Lord of the Rings prequel, The Hobbit. He dismisses it as “just a rumor.”
McAvoy felt that the movies were coming at too fast and furious a pace.
“It was getting to the point where that was happening and I had to put an end to it.”
