This is the most asinine quote about a newborn baby I have ever heard. Upon seeing Jamie Lynn Spears‘ newborn daughter Maddie Briann, babydaddy Casey Aldridge’s mother Joyce said that the kid “has Casey’s toes.”
So they better be webbed, otherwise that’s a dumb thing to say. Seriously, unless father and daughter are both amphibian, then Joyce Aldridge has the dementia.
Jamie Lynn was released from the hospital in Mississippi on Saturday, and received a police escort across the state line and back to her home in Kentwood, LA. This is probably the biggest thing to hit that area since that damned de-segregation and the opening of the Piggly Wiggly in ’82.
The child is apparently all set, according to witnesses.
“They’re doing terrific,” a source says. “The baby’s got 10 fingers
and 10 toes … and a full head of hair. She’s long, a tall baby, and
she weighs 7 lbs, 11 oz.” People are obsessed with this child’s feet!
Nickelodeon star Jamie Lynn and Aldridge are engaged, but no date has been set. She better set a date and be sure to snap up those special toes of his before some other gal does!

Why is commenting on a newborn’s feet asinine? A baby’s facial features change so much as he or she grows, but feet are distinctive early on–an easy hereditary trait to spot.

I agree with Hannah. It’s always amazing to notice a feature in the new baby that looks like it’s a copy of one of the parents, or grandparents, etc. Happened with me when I had my baby.

The only reason it’s a ‘long’ baby is because it had to be dragged from the womb as the thought of being born into that family filled it with horror, and rightly so.
