It was announced today that Glee‘s Jane Lynch will host the 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards Sunday, September 18th on Fox.  Producer Mark Burnett (Survivor, The Voice) said of choosing Lynch, “Jane was my first – and only – choice as the host for this year’s Primetime Emmys, and I am glad she said ‘yes.  She has incredible comedic timing, and is a charismatic, talented actress whose energy leaps off the screen and stage. I am thrilled and excited to have her as our host.”

Hats off to Lynch, who we hope will appear on stage in a series of tracksuits holding a megaphone.  Last year she took home a Best Supporting Actress Emmy.  “I am tickled pink to be hosting the Primetime Emmys on FOX,” Lynch said of her new gig. “I’m looking forward to singing, dancing and sporting my finest tracksuit.”
