Friends of music heavyweight Jermaine Dupri are telling Us Weekly that the relationship between him and Janet Jackson has quietly ended. The sources reveal, “They have been moving in different directions for a while.”

Janet is notoriously shy when it comes to being out in public, while Jermaine “likes to be out there, mingling with everybody.” In addition, a mutual friend dishes that their careers and personal lives were too intermingled, “Janet felt their lives were too crossed and they should have kept things sepa­rate.”

Dupri’s absence from the memorial service for Michael Jackson lent credence to these rumors of a split, however an insider claims the reason is that Jermaine “doesn’t attend funerals.” However, with the loss of her older brother and her breakup, Janet is “devastated.” Aww, that makes me sad. I thought for sure they’d get hitched.
