So many award shows! So little time! Luckily, there’s plenty of time to get excited about the winners at the 2013 Independent Spirit Awards!
Critic and fan favorite Silver Linings Playbook had quite the awards sweep winning Best Feature, Best Director for David O. Russell, Best Screenplay and Best Female Lead for Jennifer Lawrence. Side note: how freaking amazing did Jennifer Lawrence look?! Love her. Although not sure if her dress is as fabulous as host Andy Samberg‘s green suit!
Guys! Matthew McConaughey totally won Best Supporting Male for his role in Magic Mike! I’ve gotta admit, he had quite the perfect mix of acting abilities and ridiculously buff bodyin that movie. I love that movie. Check out the full list of winners after the jump!
Wanna know my other favorite winner? John Hawkes, who took home the award for Best Male Lead for The Sessions. I have this major crush on John Hawkes, so anytime I get to see him at award shows it’s rather exciting.
Now that we’ve covered some of the most exciting winners, let’s take a look at the presenters! Few things make me happier in life than Amy Poehler and Bryan Cranston presenting together. Whoever decided to make that happen needs to be given an award. Also, the picture of Paul Ruddfrom the awards show is hysterical.
