Jennifer Lopez Was A Back-Up Dancer For New Kids On The Block

Jennifer Lopez took a walk down memory lane last night, thanks to Jay Leno.  God bless VHS tapes, because The Tonight Show host was able to dust one of JLO circa 1991.  It turns out she was a back-up dancer for New Kids On The Block during the American Music Awards.

Leno set Lopez up by asking about one of her first gigs.  “I got a job working as a back-up dancer for New Kids on the Block,” Lopez explained. “Dancing on the American Music Awards and it was a big deal.”  When she mentioned that there must be a tape out there somewhere, Leno assured her that there was.  In fact, he had a copy of said tape.  My oh my, is it ever 90s.

Lopez has come a looong way since the days of NKOTB and In Living Color.  She donated a stage outfit she wore during an American Idol performance to the Hard Rock Cafe’s memorabilia collection May 3rd in Hollywood.  The Idol judge also signed copies of her new album, LOVE?.

  1. Hi I love that you are right in the mix of public “feedback” and are involved in the discussions (however banal they are). Keep up the good work and, of course, the good design!
