New mom, Jennifer Hudson, wowed attendees of the 2009 Angel Ball with two songs, one of which included “And I’m Telling You I’m Not Going,” from the role in Dreamgirls that nabbed her an Oscar.

At last night’s event, hosted by Denise Rich, the Grammy-winner sparked talk about her potential participation in an upcoming biopic about South African leader, Winnie Mandela.

Word has it that Idris Elba or Derek Luke are being considered for the role of Winnie’s ex-husband, Nelson Mandela. Sounds like it will be a critically-acclaimed gig for whoever can nab it.
