Jessica Simpson‘s first single, “A Public Affair,” from her new album sounds an awful lot like Madonna’s “Holiday.” Don’t believe me? Thanks to TMZ, you can hear for yourself.
I think the most amusing part of this is that people are actually asking both Madonna and Jessica to comment on the comparison, like either one of those two had anything to do with creating the beats. I’m not even sure Jessica knows who Madonna is. I bet someone had to say, “Remember that lady who kissed Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera? Yeah, well, that’s her. No, she’s not British. She just sounds like that now.”

Thats funny becasue i thought it sounded alot like Janet Jackson. But maybe that’s just because I know she’s worked alot with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis for this project. At any rate I liked it alot.
the song is horrible, and i really hope its not the new single off her new cd because that would be a shame (and im pretty sure it is). nick’s first single was much better
Call me crazy I know it sounds weird, but Madonna’s new single “get together” sounds an awful lot like holiday. If you listen to the beet, you all most expect it to be holiday.
I love Madonna!! I really do, but I hate that she is “crazy” now lol. This whole thing has changed her. I was so excited about this album, but it’s not very good. I hope she comes out with something new and blows me away! I miss the sexy, I do what I want madonna.

There are sprinkles of Holiday throughout. But I think since this is Jessica’s first without ole Nick, she’s just going through the motions. I like it better when stars/singers take off for awhile and come back with something new & inventive. This just sounds
like a radio remix of a stale dance tune.
She needs a break and time to reinvent her sound
& her look . . . again!
Of course Jessica doesn’t know who Madonna is. ;) She’s under thirty-five.

This song sounds SO much like Holiday, I can’t even listen to it without singing the Holiday chorus over the music…

I just don’t get this crap. Unless you are trying to say Jessica is a complete bufoon, then why wouldn’t she know Madonna? My 15 year old daughter has most of Madonna’s early cds and you mean to tell me someone claiming to be a mucisian has no clue. But then again this is Jessica we are talking about, so I’ll leave it at that. And this is totally a Holiday/Lucky star rip off. Why can’t these empty heads come up with something original?
I feel like sending Jessica Simpson a cease and deceased letter, than forwarding a registered letter to Madonna’s people because they need to get on this. MMMm, the smell of a very litigious summer.
“A Public Affair” is a stupid title to a song, unless it’s some kind of covert admission that Johnny Knoxville really did take her to Browntown.
That is the WORST piece of shit I’ve ever heard!!! I couldn’t even make it through the first minute of the song. She is a horrible singer…….if you can even call it that.
