It’s been a bumpy few weeks for Jessica Simpson, spanning ridicule over her new, voluptuous figure, Tony Romo split rumors, and even a mid-concert meltdown. But after a few gravy pancakes and some good Jesus contact, the Texan gal is feeling back up to speed.
“Honestly, I am right where I’m supposed to be. I am so happy,” Jessica said this morning, while making a TV appearance on The Early Show, where she performed her new song “Pray Out Loud.”
Her secret to staying confident? “It’s all about keeping the faith,” she said. “That’s why I pray out loud.”
Well, Jessica’s career in exercise videos may be capoot, but that doesn’t mean the girl’s lost her marketing edge.

Really? Do we really care about a couple pounds? This is embarassing and ridiculous. I hope we are moving into a new, less materialistic, surface-based, set of values as a people. Skinny girls are cute, but we are all just people trying to find our way. I just don’t get it. I thought we were moving to a time of intelligence and greater substance (no pun intended.)
if you ask me (not to mention my hubby and his friends) she looks D*MN GOOD!!! what the average american woman wouldn’t give to have her body “with a couple extra pounds?” i would have hoped by now that we are coming to a point in this country where we realize that looking like a crack addict isnt going to get it. most men prefer a woman who looks like a woman and not her 12 year old brother. and god-forbid we try and value a womans mind, personality and heart a little more than a number on a scale.
