John Travolta‘s son Jett, who died after having a seizure and hitting his head on a bathroom fixture on New Year’s Day, was memorialized at the Travolta’s estate in Ocala, Florida yesterday. He was 16.

Services took place under a large tent set up on the lawn. Mourners included James Gandolfini, Lisa Marie Presley, Kirstie Alley, and Garth Brooks and wife Trisha Yearwood. The Travoltas (John, his wife Kelly Preston, and daughter Ella Blue) entered after everyone was seated.

A female Scientologist minister was reportedly the only one to speak during the hour-long service which began at 4 pm. Scientology views death as the deceased’s “right to move on.”

After the service, the Travoltas reportedly went and kissed a large blow-up photo of Jett. No matter how you view them, it’s still really sad.
