JLo To Replace Ellen On ‘Idol?’

July 30th, 2010 // Leave a Comment

In an unexpected move amid all the American Idol shuffle drama, it’s rumored that Jennifer Lopez has signed on to replace judge Ellen DeGeneres, who recently announced her departure from the show. I guess that’s tough luck for Jessica Simpson

Lopez turned to the Idol producers about a month ago, in the wake of her box-office flop The Back-Up Plan and a drop by her former record label. Could this be the real comeback Jenny, performing at a Samsung event in
New York City on June 15, is looking for?

Looks as though things turned out great for everyone: Ellen was reportedly extremely relieved to be saying sayonara to the show.

“She’s not comfortable. She’s not happy. It’s not been fun,” Fox was told. Ellen’s lack of musical expertise always made her stick out and down-to-earth Ellen grew tired of Simon Cowell‘s prima donna antics.

But do we really think JLo is going to offer that much more in the criticism department?
