John Edwards’ Ladies Speak Out

August 9th, 2008 // 9 Comments

John Edwards publicly admitted to his previously denied affair with Rielle Hunter on Friday, and all I could think about was his wife Elizabeth Edwards, who is in her second battle with cancer — one that has been diagnosed as incurable but treatable.

But as always, the 59-year-old has remained a class act. In a blog yesterday she wrote that after finding out about the affair, “We began a long and painful process in 2006, a process oddly made somewhat easier with my diagnosis in March of 2007.”

Meanwhile, Rielle is an idiot and opening her mouth about how John was “so open and willing to trying new things.” I’ll leave the name-calling for the comments.

“Our family has been through a lot,” Elizabeth wrote. “Some caused by nature, some caused by human weakness, and some – most recently – cased by desire for sensationalism and profit without any regard for the human consequences.”

All I will say is that I’m glad John didn’t get nominated for the Democratic primary or the U.S would be in quite a pickle. Oh, and that Elizabeth is still the classiest lady out there.

    I’ll say it again,
First he hurts his sick wife by cheating on her, then he has the balls to say he “didn’t love” the other woman. Ok, so you put your wife, family and marriage on the line for someone you didn’t even love???? That’s gotta be even more insulting to his poor wife (not to mention totally demeaning and insulting towards the woman with whom HE CHOSE to have an affair). And what’s worse is he’ll probably get away with all of it. His wife will take him back, his family will totally forgive him, and the woman with whom HE CHOSE to have an affair will be shunned by society and treated like a whore. How typical!

I’m in no way defending John Edwards, BUT that is the choice Rielle Hunter made when when she CHOSE to sleep with a MARRIED MAN. I hurt for Elizabeth. The whole affair is a slap. But I have very little sympathy for the poor poor other woman who KNEW exactly who JE was when she took the job as a videographer & then got into bed.

Edwards is a narcissist like most politicians. He probably cried on Hunter’s shoulder about his dying wife and how lonely life is now she’s sick, all while unzipping her dress.

Men cheat. The end. At least his wife found out two years earlier and not via some news report. I love it though when people get all high and mighty about the cheater being an ass and the the cheated on person being dumb for staying. Its ridiculous because most women and some men NEVER leave after their mate cheats so its not really a surprise when someone in the publics eye does the same. The “other” woman sounds like a class act.

In my opion all man cheat some time or the other on their wives. John was just helpless at the time that he fell inlove with reille hunter. It was something that he could not help.I think that both women hurt hohn more than he hurt either one of them.

He lied about having an affair but thank god he is at least telling the truth about not be the baby daddy. That’s a relief. No really. It is.
    Uh huh.

Edwards is just like Clinton: a cheating pig with the morals of an alley cat. His wife is kind of frumpy but it’s sad she has terminal cancer.

How much do you suppose he paid Hunter to NOT take the paternity test?

I agree – Elizabeth is a class act. Historically powerful men have many times been hound dogs. They make the choice and so do the single women who chose to sleep with married men. I am so disappointed in JE. Bravo to Elizabeth – may she beat her cancer and keep her chin up – she is a wonderful woman.
