Ardent Katsuya fan, John Mayer, is seen here departing from his favorite restaurant. The man has expensive taste in sushi. So it should only be fitting that his home residence be equally impressive.

The singer’s New York apartment is featured in the new issue of Elle Decor, showing off his new 2,500-square foot spread in SoHo.

The look is minimalist and Mayer claims that a distinctive lack of career-oriented items is no coincidence. “It’s intentional that there’s not a lot of music gear here. I can be a person, not a musician, in this apartment.” Personally, I prefer to be a robot in my apartment, since I have to be a person everywhere else.
