John McCain Gets Mavericky On SNL

November 2nd, 2008 // 2 Comments

As reported earlier, John McCain made a little stop on Saturday Night Live last night to do an opening skit with none other than Sarah Palin aka Tina Fey. The two made fun of the lack of GOP funding, pretending to sell items on a home shopping network.

“These final days have been the most essential,” McCain said. “Barack Obama purchased air time on three networks. We, however, can only afford time on QVC.”

The best part? When McCain called himself a “True maverick. A republican without money.  I’m not like my opponent. My only showbiz connections are John Voigt and Heidi [Montag] from The Hills.”

Comedy certainly isn’t McCain’s strong point–but you have to give the old man kudos for the effort.

Pull out your wallet come Wednesday… and please don’t whine as you complain about your taxes being raised or having to pay for someone’s snacks as Obama fans plan to do given his infocommerical.
