His official word for not appearing on the “Today”show in July with his fellow “Hairspray” co-stars is that GMA asked him first. However, there are of course rumors floating around that the real reason John’s avoiding “Today” is out of distaste for Matt Lauer’s infamous “glib” interview with Tom Cruise from last year.
The “Today” show, I was told, desperately wants to put on a “Hairspray” concert on their plaza outside Rockefeller Center to promote the film. They have already lined up Queen Latifah and the rest of the cast, but Travolta held out. Somewhere along the line, Scientology was invoked as the excuse.
“John is not going to any concerts for ‘Hairspray,’” Bloch told me.
Of course, there are denials that Cruise even has a beef with Matt any longer and blah, blah, blah, who cares, really? I mean, we all know that it’s John Travolta “Wild Hogs” movie about some middle-aged guys wearing leather and earrings whilst scooting around on their mid-life-crisis-mobiles that is the Travolta film to see. Have I seen it, you might ask? No, but I have a feeling seeing the billboard pretty much tells the whole story, thanks.

Im sure he’s as pleased as punch to be able to dress like a woman in public now. My favorite action Transvestite is still Eddie Izzard, tho. :-)

John & Tom are wackos first and homos second. Those Napoleon Attention Whores are bumpin nuts, while hiding behind their mindless, stepford-like, money hungry, attention whores, aka,wives. Scientology exists b/c the rich, famous, & needy…..are hungry for attention and fame, the needy get greedy then they get assie. Ask and you shall receive. They receive and get ASSIE! AND, who the f&^k gives a crap what actors think about politics. Cry for those who died on 9-11, don’t criticize the US for trying to protect us from another 9-11. He must have power b/c Nicole left her kids and a cat got Penelope’s tongue…and someone ran off with the real Katie Holmes..she has the personality of a cult doll.
