Things should be a little more upbeat at this years 63rd Cannes Film Festival. Kristen Scott Thomas has just been announced as the mistress of ceremonies for the film festival (as she was previously 1999), but word also has it that there will be sufficient man candy heading to the South of France next month.

Come May 12-23 Cannes will deliver some star power with Brad Pitt who joins Sean Penn in promoting Tree of Life. We assume were there is Brad there will be Angelina Jolie, although not always. Jolie’s is currently filming The Tourist with Johnny Depp who will also be making an appearance at the film festival for Rum Diary. If none of those names tickle your fancy Russel Crowe is expected to go for Robin Hood and Javiar Bardem for Biutiful.
