Johnny Weir Needs the Calming Scent of Pledge

February 17th, 2010 // 3 Comments

Johnny Weir was graceful and in top performance when competing in his Figure Skating men’s short program at the Pacific
Coliseum in Vancouver during the 2010 Winter Olympics on February 16,
2010. Check out those spirit fingers!

So what helped him get in the zone?

“I was nervous last night. So I Pledged [as in Lemon Pledge] everything
in my room,” Weir told People. “Some people eat, some people drink – but I
Pledge everything.”

He placed sixth and will be competing on Thursday for the gold.

I think he’s got a fair shot if he stops running around naked while watching The Real Housewives of Atlanta — his quote, not mine.

He’s so adorable. I wish he could medal, but it’s a lot to hope for.
