Kate Gosselin has dominated the tabloid covers, with one in-depth interview after another and now, it’s Jon Gosselin‘s turn to spill his guts. The reality television patriarch sat down with ABC’s Chris Cuomo for his TV interview for Good Morning America (check out the video after the jump.
In the interview, which was filmed on August 28, Gosselin says of his relationship with his ex-wife, “I was verbally abused…I was beaten down.” Jon also alleges that Kate would use their children as bartering tools during arguments telling him, “Don’t spend time with your mom, spend time with your kids.”
A reconciliation is far from possible in Jon’s mind, who can’t even stand to film a confessional with Kate. “I can’t sit on a sofa with that woman. I can’t sit on someone right now that I despise–I despise because she’s not speaking from the heart.”
Jon also claims the reason he no longer wears his wedding ring is that he believes Kate took it once when he took it off. He accuses Kate of wearing hers for the sake of appearance. So, in case you hadn’t noticed, these two are really trying to keep their divorce a very private matter.

WHATEVER KATE WAS – JON MARRIED INTO IT AND HAS 8 CHILDREN! FOR THE PAST EIGHT MONTHS JON HAS DONE NOTHING BUT WHACKY WEED SMOKING, BAR HOPPING, AND HORELEY GLASSMAN COLLEGE GIRL CHASING! KATE IS THE ONLY STABLE PARENT IN THE CHILDREN LIVES. JON’S 15 MINUTES OF FAME ARE OVER. I have to agree. He knew what she was when he married her and had kids. He needs to get off his ass and get a fucking job already. It is her that is supporting the kids. Not Jon. Don’t get me wrong. I used to like Jon but I think he has shown what he is truly made of, and he is worthless.

Hmmm, I don’t agree that John isn’t supporting his kids. The show is called “Jon & Kate Plus 8″, half of what they earn should be his. On the other hand, he is turning into somewhat of a loser – going thru an early midlife crisis with his partying/whoring ways. He needs to get his ass home and be with his kids when they need him the most, to show them that he still loves them and will always be there for them. Kate is a control freak, and by the stories she has told, she always has been. I agree he knew that when they married. My theory is that when they started getting high publicity, Jon couldn’t take being humiliated by Kate anymore. I think he could stand it, until millions of people were watching it … I can’t blame him there. I still watch becuz I adore those children. But I’m done with both Jon and Kate. I’m so sick of Kate playing the victim. I used to like them, now I don’t.
