Ready for it? Rumor has it that Jon Gosselin is engaged to his 22-year-old girlfriend, Hailey Glassman. Wonder how this is gonna help the “keeping family strong” situation.
Reports have surfaced that say Jon proposed during their trip to St. Tropez. in Touch Weekly reports that Jon has been telling people that he loves her, she loves him, and they don’t want to waste any time. Jon proposed with an $180,000 engagement ring, featuring a skull surrounded by four black diamonds. You know that Jon saw that ring, thought it looks totally Ed Hardy-ish, and had to have it.
Apparently, while everyone thought he and Christian Audigier were getting a clothing line together, he and Hailey were really getting together in another way. Audigier tells in Touch, “We had a great time,” as they hung out on a yacht, drank champagne, and ate lobster. One witness claims that while at a club, “Hailey was flashing her ring around and they were kissing and hugging.”
Christian is the only one excited for Jon and Hailey (just does not sound right). Hailey’s friends have taken to Facebook and are standing up for her. Us Weekly reports that one friend wrote, “GOOD LUCK ON EVERYTHING. AS I CAN SEE SO FAR U DON’T SEEM LIKE THE GOLD DIGGEN TYPE KATE WAS!!! BEST OF LUCK!!!!” That is one very excited person.
Another friend had every more to say regarding the relationship: “Everyone writing negative crap leave her alone!!!! She was NOT in a relationship with Kate – Jon was!!!! She has done nothing wrong!!!!! Furthermore: you have one life and should be happy!!! Jon deserves to be happy!!! Just because he has someone new in his life does NOT mean he is going to neglect his children!!! Kate goes around touring with her bodyguards promoting her books – she has lead her life and done what she wants – so can Jon!!!! Good luck to both of you!!!” Hailey responded to all of this with, “Thank you for all the support!”
Although most of her friends sound happy about the couple, some friends seem to think otherwise. A few sources say she is a major party girl who needs constant attention and is dating Jon only to get famous. One friend said, “I think after realizing she had a connection to Jon through her father and that Jon and Kate’s marriage was rocky, she saw an opportunity to get famous.”
Jon, however, seems just ridiculously excited with his new girlfriend. I mean really, after someone as bitchy as Kate Gosselin, I feel like a lion would make for a good mate.
