Opening weekend ticket sales for The Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience came in at $12.7 million, which is far less than the projected $25 million or so Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas were expected to rake in.
Miley Cyrus set the bar high when she took in $31.1 million at the opening weekend for Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert. Disney’s giving the excuse that Miley’s movie was marketed with a one-week release as opposed to the Jonas movie, which “probably took some of the urgency away.”
I expect a sassy YouTube posting by Miley Cyrus and her crony Mandy Jiroux. You just know that toothsome teen has something to say about this. And it better be obnoxious.

The tickets were so outrageously expensive! The expectations were way too high in a suffering economy when tickets (at least mine) are $17.50 a pop.
