Although Make Me a Supermodel contestant Jonathan Waud came in third place behind overall winner Branden and runner-up Sandhurst, Waud was voted fan favorite on the site! The 18-year-old underdog Branden was most improved, managing to pose his way to the top.
As for our buddy, Waud, he fumbled a bit during the Cosmo photoshoot, a mistake that might have very well cost him the top prize for this second season of the Bravo reality TV competition series. However, after he was reunited with his wife and children, Jonathan shone on the runway.
The judges all agreed that our boy Jonathan will definitely enjoy a prosperous career in modeling. Of course, we already knew that.
As someone with many friends and acquaintances who are former models I feel VERY strongly that Jonathan Waud is the only one of the three finalists who has any chance of making money as a model because he has the right height, body and face.
The winner doesn’t have any body to speak of and just an okay face.
Poor Sandhurst wouldn’t fit anyone’s clothes.
But the sad reality is only a handful of men in each city can make a full time living as models (versus women).
Jonathan Waub would be better off pursuing a career in something else that has longer term potential.
I can’t believe Branden was the winner. He should been out of there in the first couple of episodes. Maybe I don’t know what improvement looks like, cause I didn’t see it happening with him.
Jonathan should have won.
Nothing against Branden or Sandhurst.
But the judges were idiots. Did they forget all the positive comments like “I see dollar signs” they had for Jonathan? Did they forget how one photographer would have had to do a reshoot if presented with just Branden?
Maybe Branden will be a supermodel, after a LOT of work on the judges part. He would have fallen apart with the help of the other guys.
Guess the judges dont have anything better to do than to hold his hand for his year contract with NY Model Management.
Jonathan is ready for any assignment, now. No hand holding needed. And HIS looks will lasy over the years.
Branden has the cute look today, but wont transcend the times.
But as was pointed out, Jennifer Hudson didnt win, but went on to have an incredble award winning career.
Sandhurst has a classic look also. Just may need to do long distance running to slim his legs. Then he may be perfect for photos and runway.

Then again, have you seen anything with last season’s models? I have only seen one of the “cuts” working.
Brandon got the ‘sympathy and tears’ vote. He should have been eliminated weeks before the finale. Very immature, Brandon would not have made it without lots of help from many other candidates. Rewarding him for standing on the shoulders of others was wrong.
Jonathan and Sandhurst deserved to compete for the win. They were robbed!!
