Jonny Depp Gets More Work

September 25th, 2008 // 1 Comment

The Sweeney Todd star is lining up for some new jobs. First, Johnny Depp is teaming back up with his long-time collaborator director Tim Burton. Johnny will be taking on the role of the Mad Hatter for Alice in Wonderland, which will be a live-action/CG animated feature and will star Australian actress Mia Wasikowska as Alice.

In addition, Depp will be starring the fourth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, taking on his iconic role of Captain Jack Sparrow once again. The busy actor will also be playing Tonto in Disney’s movie version of the television series The Lone Ranger.

Holy crap, that’s a lot of stuff. No wonder his cheekbones stay sharp–he doesn’t have time to age. It’s also how he stays so goddamn rich.
