Singer Jordin Sparks and the Energizer Bunny appeared on stage after Sparks’ performance for the Energizer/VH1 Save The Music Event in Times Square today in New York City.
The singer performed her hits “No Air” and “Battlefield,” and says that she’s happy to be a part of the campaign, which promotes music education in public schools.

As for Jordin’s upcoming third album, she says that she’s taking her time on it. She said:
“I’m still working on it and I don’t really want to rush because I want it to be right,” says the 21-year-old singer, who recorded a few tracks with John Legend earlier this year and has worked with production duo the Underdogs on the new disc. “['I Am Woman'] was definitely something to give my fans different to chew on, something a little bit edgier with more attitude… I want the music that I put out — and especially after putting out ‘I Am Woman’ — to make sense and be cohesive.”
Sparks is also looking to branch out into acting. She’s “trying to hone the other side of my artistry” by recently auditioning for a few feature film roles. And after performing voice-over work for Nick Jr. and appearing on “Big Time Rush,” Sparks hopes to expand her acting resume on the small screen as well.
