Remember when Josh Hartnett was rushed from the Chateau Marmont with stomach problems? Well, the actor is saying that his trip to the hospital seemed more infamous than it actually was just because of the hotel where he happened to be staying.

Hartnett told press at the Sixth Annual New Yorkers for Children Spring Dinner Dance Wednesday night, “I’m fine, I had a stomach bug–it was literally, like, a 24 hour thing. I was so dehydrated that I needed to be on a couple of IVs. I’m good.” Josh claims his tummy troubles stem from his trips to third world countries where he’s been drinking the water.

“[Media] made a huge deal about it because I left the Chateau Marmont–you know. That’s where I always stay in L.A….you know, they wanna’ come up with whatever they want to come up with,” the actor continued to say.

Oh Joshie, it’s because it’s more fun that way.
