US Weekly is suggesting that a budding romantic relationship between Owen Wilson and Kate Hudson is the real reason behind her split from rocker hubby, Chris Robinson. According to the gossip rag:

“This is not a fling,” says a source close to the couple. “Kate is crazy about him. Owen gives her so much attention, and she loves it. [That's why] she wants her marriage to be over.” Three days before the split, a Wilson source told Us, “Owen is not-so-secretly hoping she will leave Chris so they wouldn’t have to hide. He is falling for her.”

I don’t know if I believe this or not. I’m wondering if US is just reaching for a scoop these days, after the whole Jen/Vince engagement fiasco. If it is, I do think it’s a good move for Owen, but definitely a strange move for Kate. But I guess she likes those shaggy-haired mischevious types.
