Justin Bieber wouldn’t let his girlfriend, Selena Gomez upstage him or catch him off guard at the 2011 MTV VMAs tonight at the Nokia Theatre in L.A. Quite the opposite happened, actually
On the red carpet pre-show, Gomez (who’s playing an MTV co-host for the night) tried to keep it cool while interviewing her beau and asking what he was wearing.
“I have my snake. I have red pants and cheetah shoes,” said Bieber, who opted against his normal leather jacket.
FYI – his snake’s name is Johnson, but that’s not what made Selena jump! It was the quick peck on the cheek that Bieber landed on the shy star at the end of the interview that surprised her.
