There had been a rumor that Fox execs were looking at big names like Sir Elton John and Justin Timberlake to replace Simon Cowell on American Idol. While it seems highly unlikely that they could even afford either, there’s an important piece of the story being left out:

Both have said ‘no, thanks.’

And I can’t blame them, they don’t need to go have jobs on network television. That’s kinda beneath both of them.
