Justin Timberlake’s Tequila Gets High Marks

April 30th, 2009 // 2 Comments

Everything this guy touches seems to turn to gold.

Justin Timberlake has amassed a successful solo music career, a clothing line William Rast, his Manhattan restaurant Southern Hospitality and now he’s branched out into spirits.

The pop star has come out with his own brand of tequila. Named 901 for his hometown area code in Memphis, Tennessee, the drink was made from an agave recipe based in Jalisco, Mexico.

901 received praise from three tequila experts recruited by the New York Daily News for a taste test. One said after sipping, “It’s actually a really nice product has a nice richness to it, a full-body mouth feel, a nice finish.”

Personally, I prefer my tequila with fake silicone globules strapped to the front and mostly orange in color.

Tequila is only tequila if it is produced and bottled in Mexico. He may have some type of alcohol in that bottle but it is not tequila.
