Kanye West and Russell Simmons headed downtown to the “Occupy Wall Street” protests, where Simmons appeared on the Rev. Al Sharpton‘s radio show. “I love how sweet and tolerant he was to the crowd,” Simmons tweeted of West, who made his exit when Simmons took to the mic.
West and Simmons were glad to lend support to the protests, with Simmons saying that as a member of the wealthy 1%, he would gladly pay more taxes, according to the New York Daily News. “I’m happy to pay a little more taxes if it means better education for our children,” he said. “I don’t pay enough taxes and I know it.”
