Once again, Kanye West is publicly apologizing for his crazy rant at the MTV Awards during Taylor Swift‘s acceptance speech for Best Female Video.
Just before he performed yesterday on Jay Leno‘s new talk show, the rapper sat down to chat. The comedian asked the “Run This Town” rapper, what he believes his late mother, Donda West, would have thought of his outburst.
At this, Kanye was silent for over 20 seconds before he spoke. “Obviously, I deal with hurt, and so many celebrities, they never take the time off, and I never took the time off, really,” he told Jay. Yes, because the rest of us schmucks usually get to take vacations in St. Tropez to mourn the loss of loved ones.
Kanye added, “I’ve really never taken the time off. It’s been music after music and tour after tour. And I’m just ashamed my hurt caused someone else hurt.” Maybe a few more trips to the beach would help him grieve. Check out the video after the jump.
Note to famous people: the tragic loss of a parent is not an excuse to continually act like a bastard in public. That goes for you too, Denise Richards.

I refuse to buy what he is selling…never have bought one word or note of his offerings…he never ceases to amaze me at how much of a deeper hole he can dig when he’s trying to dig himself out of a pretty big hole! Shut up! Grow up! Find something useful to do with your life!

Why is he saying that his mother’s death made him jump on stage and steal this teenage girl’s moment to shine in front of her peers and fans? Would someone connect those dots for me?
