Rapper, Kanye West, stormed out of the MTV Video Music Awards last night when he didn’t win in any of the five categories in which he’d been nominated. Making a scene backstage in front of all kinds of media, as well as the crew for the show, West started yelling about the indignity of it all while the show as coming to a close, according to Billboard:
“That’s two years in a row, man … give a black man a chance,” West said, stomping around his entourage and directing his comments at a reporter. “I’m trying hard man, I have the … number one record, man.”
Now, I’m not sure if this is some Andy Kaufman-type performance art shit going on, or not, but I’m really hoping that if he has the number one record that he could give two shits whether or not he wins a silly little statue with an astronaut on it. Either that, or MTV doesn’t care about black people.

He needs to take this as constructive criticism & work harder next time — maybe then he’ll get an award. Mariah Carey complained about not getting a VMA but @ least she put forth effort to make more involved videos (not necessarily better, mind u).

Everyone should do him a favor and NOT buy his new cd. He needs a serious lesson in humility.
