Before arriving in Los Angeles this afternoon, Kate took her buttercup dress and LK Bennett shoes to the tarmac at Calgary International Airport yesterday to greet more adoring fans. There, she gave a big hug to six-year-old Diamond Marshall, who is suffering from terminal cancer. Kate reminds people more and more of her late mother-in-law, Diana by reaching out to people (literally) during this past tour. We got a little choked up looking at pictures of the embrace yesterday. You are a woman of the people, Duchess. We can’t wait for you to be Queen Consort of England!
After leaving the airport, William and Kate took part in the White Hat Ceremony, an event held to symbolize hospitality and good cheer, according to E!. The mayor’s office presented the couple with the Smithbilt hat, which is reserved especially for celebs and visiting dignitaries.

Just to let you know, Calgary with a population of over 1 million and P.E.I. (Prince Edward Island) are hardly known as “remote” areas of Canada. Yellowknife on the other hand yes!

Contrary to your comments on many of the photos, Calgary is not a remote part of the country. It is home to an NHL team, as well as the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth, the Calgary Stampede. Oh, I almost forgot, it was also host to one of the most successful Winter Olympics in history.
Yep, all of that is true. It’s also the fourth largest city in Canada I believe. Also it’s my second favourite city in Canada, and has my favourite Hockey team.(Flames)I live in Vancouver, but I hate the Canucks.
