After really disliking her for four years on Jon & Kate Plus 8, Kate Gosselin has become one of my favorite people. She said with the Today show’s Meredith Vieira this morning to talk about her life now, how she feels about estranged husband Jon Gosselin, and what’s true and false.
“I feel like every morning I wake up and there’s a new rumor,” she said this morning. “First of all, there is no condo [in Maryland]…I live at home with my kids. That’s where I belong, that’s where I will stay.” And about the rumored romance with head of security Steve Neild? Just another random rumor according to Kate. “There is no affair, there never has been an affair,” she says. “He’s one of our rotating security people. It’s just another crazy rumor. It sells tabloids.”
With Jon claiming that Kate was the one who gave up on the marriage first, Kate took a second to address that saying that she wasn’t the one who gave up, it was something mutual. “Clearly, his goals are not my goals,” was her main reason behind the split. And what about his new girlfriend, Hailey Glassman, and his life in New York? “They’re his decisions,” she said. “They might not be the ones that I would make.”
Definitely the most upsetting part of the interview was when Kate was asked why she still wears her wedding ring. “For them,” she admitted, referring to her eight kids. “I don’t want to upset them. While I’ve been very real and as honest as I need to be, I don’t want to shock them. I’ve walked slowly through this with them. When they’ve asked questions, I’ve answered them.” But come on Kate, is that the only reason? “I’m wearing the ring because, well, it’s been there for 10 years,” she says. “When the time is right, I will take it off. I’ve done a try of a day here or there.”

These are two of the most disingenuous people I’ve ever seen. They issued a statement that they were not going to make public statements and they might as well be on a press junket. STFU already, both of you. The reason that she “can’t really remember” when Jon moved out is because they were already long separated by that point, which would make it less of a surprise and garner her less sympathy.
And, if I were here I’d be crying at that ugly, sorry excuse for a ring, too.

wtf kinda sorry excuse for an interview is this? she didn’t answer any of the questions directly. all she did was go around the questions and talk about how good of a mother she is and bash john. obviously both of the gosselin parents are no saints but common, when meredith asked her what she would’ve changed about herself she said “idk”. bitch please, all of america knows that a large portion of the reason why john gave up on the marriage was cause you were such an evil, controlling, mean, nasty, demeaning, degrading, emasculating bitch.
People really need to lay off kate and give her time to breathe and think about her life.NO KATE IS NOT A PERFECT PERSON, BUT WHO IS.I think she is a wonderful mother some people don’t know how hard divorce is and they really need to give her a break!!!!!!

4-23-99. A Friday. I had on short shorts and a wife beater (hush, I live in the south!) and he had on jeans and one shoe. Happiest day of my life. I guess I’m a freak of nature.
i feel bad for Kate shes raising 8 kids on her own and jons a ASSHOLE spending all their money so they cant save up for the kids college and he only caares about himself and his new stupid dam WIFE!!!!!
