Kate Winslet Doesn’t Want To Be The Biggest Loser

Although she’s thankful that she’s been recognized six times now with an Academy Award nomination, Kate Winslet would prefer not to walk away this Oscars, carrying the distinction of being the most-nominated non-winner at the awards event.

In a Nightline interview with Cynthia McFadden, the actress said, “I don’t really want to be the most-nominated loser, that doesn’t kind of sound nice.”

Winslet won two Golden Globes for her performances in The Reader and Revolutionary Road. It is her portrayal of Hannah Schmitz in The Reader for which she is vying for the prize for Best Actress.
