Looks like James Pickens is wiping away the nasty taste of Foot In The Mouth right about now. Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes would like everyone to know that Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight have no plans of leaving the show.

“That was a very interesting rumor,” Rhimes said via People at the NAACP Image Awards last night “And it’s not true.”

A very interesting rumor, indeed. Seeing as it came straight from a cast member who was basically jumping for joy at how much the “energy on set” will improve without them.

So what does he have to say for himself?

“That was absolutely taken out of context,” said Pickens. “Things happen,
and … I think rumors become fact very easily. And you know I don’t
like to tell you what’s going to happen on the show – but that is a rumor.”

He then goes on to say he meant to “congratulate” the two. Uh huh. Congratulate their bad attitudes out of the show, maybe.

Oh well. Wonder how the “energy on set” is now….
