A deal has been reached between all parties involved, which gives Katherine Jackson custody of Michael Jackson‘s three children, Prince, 12, Paris, 11 and Blanket, 7.
Attorney for Katherine, Londell McMillan said in a statement, “It’s an agreement, an agreement for the best interests of the children. This is not a money deal. This is not about money.” Michael named his mother in his will as guardian of the children and she filed for custody of the children shortly after the will was discovered.
As for the biological mother of Michael’s two eldest, Debbie Rowe, she as agreed not to seek custody of the children in return for retaining her parental rights and will get visitation of the kids. Although Katherine retains custodial rights, it’s most likely the kids will make their way to their aunt, Rebbie Jackson, shortly.
Wow, I have to say I’m impressed and surprised at how smoothly this seems to have gone.
