Kathy Ireland’s Light Switched Off On ‘DWTS’

Lamps Plus spokeswoman and former Sports Illustrated cover model, Kathy Ireland, was booted off Dancing With the Stars last night. Ireland and partner, Tony Dovolani, are the third couple to depart from the 9th season of the reality television series.

Despite her departure, Ireland gushed about her experience to People magazine, “I wouldn’t change a minute of it…I can do so many things I never thought I could do. I feel like the biggest winner because I got [Tony] as my teacher.”

Fellow contestant, Tom DeLay was surprised to see Kathy go and not himself. The former House Majority Leader tells the mag, “I was prepared to go. We all knew coming into this that somebody has to leave every week and we’ll miss her.” Aww, well, hopefully she at least got to keep a sparkly dress or two, to remember them by.
