Here’s Katie Holmes and adorable moppet Suri at play in New York City after Katie’s return from Los Angeles. Never let it be said that Katie doesn’t spend time with her kid. And never let it be said that Katie isn’t a jeans-type gal. Apparently, she realized she was getting a lot of flack for pegging her pants (yes, people actually notice how Katie Holmes wears her jeans) and switched to some skinny jeans. She’s in NYC, why not dress like hipster Katie, right?

One gets the feeling that the Broadway stint is some kind of test for Ms. Holmes. Notice how her insane short girl husband has been staying away. Is this some sort of challenge to see if she refrains from upping and leaving his crazy while on the other side of the country from him?
