A USA Today article of Katie Holmes‘ performance on stage of All My Sons on Broadway gave Mrs. Tom Cruise a mildly encouraging review.
The reviewer claims, “At best, she exhibits a girlish exuberance that could serve her well in certain stage roles, provided she finds a director who can ease her obvious self-consciousness and get her to focus on the often-intricate process of character development.”
To be fair, Katie was probably at least somewhat unnerved by the anti-Scientology protesters outside the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre.
As for Katie’s choice of outfit for the after party, I’m having a hard time coming up with something positive to say. Suri Cruise must have been sleeping on this job to let this slip by. I heard she checked herself into a clinic for “exhaustion.” That one likes to party hard.

Outfit = hideous. It looks like she made it herself.
From certain angles Katie Holmes looks like a young Jackie Onassis with that short haircut. I wish she’d stop listening to Posh though on pouting and posing. She can’t carry it off. She’s too gangly and gawky.

Katie is looking so old! I mean isn’t she still in her twenty’s. Why on earth would you want to look 40ish or older?
Her choice of an opening outfit is questionable. I would fire whoever said yes to that decision.

I’m glad Katie did a good job opening night. I hope she had fun and Tom didn’t rain on her special day.
As for her pantsuit. Not good!! Oh Tom is looking shorter and shorter these days. It looks like he is hanging with an older sister, not his wife.

This whole NYC thing is working for Katie. She seems so much happier than back in LA w/ Tom.
Now she just needs to wear some decent clothes.!

A friend told me Katie did okay opening night. I glad it wasn’t a bomb.
She looks like she is having a good time and Tom isn’t taking all the attention away from her for once. Thank God!
I really think Katie likes NY. Tom should stay in LA cause Katie seems much happier here w/o him.

Katie’s pantsuit is horrible. What was she thinking. All the money in the world and this is what you wear on your big night!
As for Tom. He is sooooo short. It’s so funny to see him hanging onto her for dear life. HAHA

i’m glad she isn’t screwin up on stage cuz that would be embrassing cuz i like her and it would suck to see her tank on stage.
and the outfit…well i think she should send it to a kingdom far far far far away.

i like that she wears high heels around him. i do not think kidman ever did.
he can’t help being on the shorter side.
she looks so gorgeous. i love her groove and love that she tried that outfit. she could wear a potato sack and look good in it.
