Here’s Katie Holmes leaving her NYC apartment for her All My Sons rehearsals. Why did she let the stylist cut her hair with a hammer? I know the play is set back in the day, but that doesn’t mean people weren’t running combs through their salads.

The picketers showed up for her first night of previews, but her co-star John Lithgow says that Katie wasn’t phased. She was probably more worried about why she has her husband’s hairdo.

“It was much more disruptive to the other theatres on the street!,” he said.

Lithgow also said that Holmes is “lovely in the play” and “a sweetheart” to work with. The burning question is – will he let Katie hide in his basement after it’s over?
