Katie Holmes Prenup Details

June 8th, 2006 // 14 Comments

Katie Holmes just needs to tie the knot with Tom Cruise, divorce him, and walk away with $3 million for every year she’s married to Tom as well as a home in Montecito, California. Mmm, it sounds like Katie got the raw end of the deal there.

The happy couple and their lawyers have come up with a contract that will give Holmes $3 million a year up to $33 million for each year that she is married to Cruise, as well as a palatial home in Montecito, California, according to Life & Style Weekly. If the marriage lasts longer than eleven years, the contract becomes void and California’s community property law kicks in — giving Holmes half of Cruise’s rather sizeable fortune.

When contacted by The Scoop, Cruise’s rep declined to comment, but an “insider” told the mag that Holmes’s parents had been trying to get her out of the relationship — but have changed their minds and now want her to marry Cruise. “If she walks now, Tom will fight her for custody of [daughter Suri], and Katie can’t outlast him in court,” an insider told the mag. “She knows she needs to marry him to get the money to fight him for custody, if it comes to that.”

If the marriage actually goes through, look for Tom Cruise to divorce Katie Holmes at about 10 years and six months into the marriage. Pretty much as he did with Nicole Kidman.

I do not think Katie and Tom will last as long as Tom and Nic.

This story is sort of believeable until you get to the rationale for Katie signing the agreement. As a family law lawyer I have to say there is no judge who would give Tom or any father custody of a newborn unless the mother was proven completely bonkers ..period and end of sentence..!!!!

But where is Suri? Has anyone seen sign or light of her? Does she even exist? I can’t believe that a media whore like Tom C would pass up on that photo opportunity, proud devoted Dad with his little bundle of joy and his brain washed simpering missus by his side.
    Oh bless.

I hope that all this is true. Katie deserves this hell for going along with this “publicity” coupling. As for Tom, he’s just lost. His soul is a shallow as his acting skills.

I find it very interesting that they have flaunted their relationship and pregnancy in the media, but have yet to allow the world to see the baby. I suppose they don’t want the competition from all the other babies being born. We all know that the Jolie-Pitt spawn would over shadow little Suri. After all, it appears, attention is all that interests them. I say “them” because, she is an adult and she is there every step of the way.

  10. where is suri?

Seeing as Tom was so excited to keep “processing and reliving the birth” why has he not shown off Suri?

Scientology is a satanic cult which has its origins in the work of Aleister Crowley, a well known Satanist. Hubbard was a disciple and student of Crowley between 1947 and 1949.
I think that scientology uses some things that are familiar to Christians so that they (Christians) may be lulled into thinking that scientology is similar to Christianity, when it only appears that way on the surface in some respects. But anybody doing any reading on Scientology knows that it (scientology) is just a psychologically based form of mind-control, or a cult, masquerading as a religion. Actually incompatible with most religions! Scientology not like Christian, that’s for sure. A Judeo Christian God was just an idea (they say) implanted in people to keep the reality of their true alien souls from being discovered. Something like that. Not exactly a Christian concept!
But as I understand it, some of the recruiting techniques in scientology involve getting the victim…. er…. new member… involved in “charitable” activities, which would appeal to a Christian nature I would presume. (I am sure that this was one of the “sells” to get Katie on board scientology too) But most of these activities are revealed only to ultimately promote scientology and to act as venues for further recruitment (into scientology) in the guise of “helping” people. Yes, devious! L. Ron Hubbard may have been crazy, but he was no dummy!

If I just saw that shadow behind Tom I bet I could guess it is him due to the profile. He has kind of a pumpkin size head!

  13. Unknown

His nose is as big as Paris Hilton’s feet!

  14. !

Katie’s face looks sooo old in that pic. She does not look like a 26 year old.
