Ever wonder why Suri Cruise is probably the best dressed child in the world? According to the National Enquirer it’s because mommy, Katie Holmes, is a shopaholic. Katie, who is currently in Australia shooting her new movie Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark, has apparently spent the entire time not filming, shopping. One source says told the Enquirer, “She loves to shop. In Melbourne, she goes everywhere from the high-end shops on Chapel Street to the low-end stores like Target. That woman can give a credit card a workout!”

It’s no secret that most of Katie’s hard earned money comes from her marriage to Tom Cruise, so one may wonder what he has to say about all this spending. Apparently, he doesn’t really mind. Really? So, can I have $14 million to spend in New York City for six months? Oh, Katie already spent your $14 million? How about $200,000 to spend at Barney’s in Beverly Hills? Wait, Katie did that too? It’s a good think you’re worth more than $250 million Tom!

According to one of Katie’s friends, “It’s a situation where he does his thing, she does hers – and hers is shopping. She thinks nothing of heading off to Paris and buying designers’ latest creations. Price tags mean absolutely nothing to her.”

Katie is reportedly in talks to star in another movie quite soon (more shopping money!), although she does need to finish her movie about evil gnomes before she can get to that. Evil gnomes. I honestly can’t get over this.
