The first glimpse we had of Katie Holmes singing and dancing came from her guest spot on ABC’s Eli Stone, which is returning to television October 14.
According to ABC Entertainment president Stephen McPherson, “She was fabulous at the table read. There’s some singing and dancing that she does–its exquisite.”
But fans won’t have to wait until October to catch Holmes showing off her musical prowess, since the actress is rehearsing for a performance on So You Think You Can Dance. Holmes will be performing “Get Happy” from the 1950 musical, Summer Stock, as an homage to Judy Garland.
Pressure’s on for Katie. Let’s see if she delivers, or if this talk is just a bunch of song and dance.

Maybe its the Julie Andrews doo; but I just had a vision of Katie doing a VonTrapp departure at the end of a “Dancing” episode and Tom psychotically searching the Hollywood Hills for her in his Valkyrie uniform.

Joseph, Eli Stone got cut from ABC before the entire season finished so during the non rating season they will be putting the remaining episodes back on air.
