Recently divorced singer Katy Perry braved the crowds at the LAX airport in Los Angeles, California yesterday (January 16) as she caught a flight out to Singapore with her entourage.
Katy is sporting a new blue hair color but that doesn’t seem to reflect her mood as she held her head high during her travels. The 27-year-old looked all kinds of fabulous in a super-short zig-zag print Missoni dress.
Speaking at the TCA press tour in California on Sunday (January 15) to promote his new show Strangely Uplifting, Russell Brand answered several questions regarding the break down of his 14-month marriage to Perry.
When asked how he is coping with the break-up from Katy, Brand replied: “[I am] quite well, thank you. Are you asking because of recent events? Well I suppose what you’re doing is you’re making the mistake of seeing time as linear. The brilliant American author Kurt Vonnegut, he’ll tell ya that if you imagine reality as experienced simultaneously, events become redundant.”
The actor went on to explain that details of his private life should not be a concern for anyone else but his family and friends, stating…
“I don’t want to further celebrate the overly elaborate, brittle plastic structures of nonsense that are constantly fired into our minds to distract us from what’s really important, so if I’d done something actually newsworthy… then I’d cover it. But if it was just more lacquered nonsense, designed to distract us from truth, then I would wisely ignore it.”
