Katy Perry, seen here in a “Flintstones Bedrock Betty” inspired short yellow mini leopard print dress, heading to a listening party in NYC for her new record yesterday, will be damned if a single tweet ruins all the hard earned publicity her and eccentric fiance, Russell Brand, have garnered to promote her upcoming album and his film, Get Him to the Greek.
The tweet on June 8th came the same day Lady Gaga released the “Alejandro” music video.
One week later, she’s “clarifying” her statement… ie damage control before releasing her come back album. Watch the Lady Gaga video after the jump.
“Lately, I’ve just been seeing some things that are kind of… not something I would do, I guess. Like, you know, when Madonna was on the cross (on her most recent world tour). (People say) I’m a very hypocritical person, ‘How do you say that and (sing), ‘I Kissed a Girl?’ Spirituality and sexuality are two separate things. When you decide to put it into the same subject, it gets interesting for some people. Everyone knows… I’ve said 100 times on my Twitter: ‘I’m one of the biggest Lady Gaga and Madonna and Russell Brand fans.’ Some people have different view points,” she said, according to Star Pulse.
Really?! Probably not wise to mention Madonna. Hell hath no fury like Madge.
