Kelly Clarkson Was Bulimic

Kelly Clarkson reveals in the August issue of “CosmoGirl” (my FAVORITE mag) that she was bulimic in high school . I hope she doesn’t think that all these highly personal revelations that she made to magazines in support of a bad album and a non-existent tour are going to make me forget that I made a beautiful glitter “Since U Been Gone I’ve Missed You, Kelly!” sign for the show that got canceled! I friggin’ was in the crafts store for hours! It even has rainbows on it! And a pegasus!

In CosmoGirl!’s August issue, Clarkson, 25, reveals that she became bulimic after she was passed over for a role in her high school musical. “I thought…If I came back and I’m cuter and thinner…then I’ll get the role.”

For six months, Clarkson was bulimic, until a friend discovered her problem. “One of my guy friends caught on to it, and I just felt so ashamed and embarassed,” she tells the mag. “I literally went cold turkey and snapped out of it.”

That’s rough and you know I’m not getting snarky about bulimia. That’s no fun. But I’ll definitely take on Lou Gehrig’s! Get out of that chair, lazy!

  1. this woman is soooooooooooo attractive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…i can’t be excessively inappropriate in my comments but i sure am in my thoughts! ;-)

    She could read minds?!?

“But I’ll definitely take on Lou Gehrig’s! Get out of that chair, lazy!” lmao, you just made my day!

Who ever made that last post really needs to do some reading up on Lou Gehrigs. That’s not funny and its rude.

Lou Gehrigs disease is not one that I would wish on my worst enemy. My Grandmother had for 5 years and ultimately died from it. I’m sure you were being sarcastic (which is why I love your comments) but I really think you stepped over the line there.

I think what J. Harvey is saying is that bulemia isn’t that horrible compared to something like Lou Gehrig’s. He’s actually poking fun at people who act like being heavy is the worst thing that ever happened to them, when they could in fact have something much worse.

Bulimic my ass. If people could “snap out” of an eating disorder, thousands of women and men wouldn’t be dying every year. She’s just taking a cheap shot to gain sympathy b/c her album sucks and she stopped going to the gym.

You know Aly, I was just about to ask about that. Is it really possible for someone to just “snap out of” Bulimia after 6 months? And how come she never went public with it before, especially when there’s always been talk about how proud she is of her natural weight.

My first impression is that she’s trying to pull some Sharon Stone “I had Breast Cancer once…” type of B.S.

Actually, geniuses, she talked about this way before her album came out. This has nothing to do with promotion. Unlike Paris, Kelly is one of the rare celebrity that is not about the fame and notoriety. She just wants to make music that she wants to do. I’m sorry that it passed over your cynical minds.

Actually Angela it’s not that I’m cynical. I recognize that Kelly has talent. Anyone can hold a gravy stain next to Paris and know which is appealing.
But you do have me on one point: I’ve never given two shits about Kelly enough to hear a full sentence come out of her mouth. However, gauging my IQ by using that fact as a ruler reflects poorly on you, not on me.

Therefore, my original question still stands:

Is it possible to just “snap out of” a 6-month bout with bulimia?

  12. wtf

how the HELL can you just snap out of bulimia! thats impossible
she didnt have a disorder because eating disorders follow you through out your life

its a publicity stunt… or she was just being “pro-mia” or something
