It was only a matter of time before someone created a portrait of Kevin Bacon made out of – wait for it – bacon.

American artist Jason Mecier created the likeness of the Footloose bad-ass using 15 lbs of the meat, according to Splash News Online.

Raw bacon made up the face, while cooked bacon was used to create the darker parts of portrait. Find out how it was created. 

“I used burnt bacon for the shading and uncooked fatty bits for the light tones on his face,” Mecier explained. “I thought I had too much bacon when I bought a 10lb [pound] bag, but I realized his head would need much more.”
