ABC News reports that Southern rock (think “Sweet Home Alabama”, whiskey, hogs, and women with butterfly tattoos riding their boyfriends’ shoulders during concerts and exposing their goods) is making a comeback due to Waffle House patron Kid Rock‘s collaboration with Lynyrd Skynyrd on the new hillbilly anthem “All Summer Long.”
Rock, and the band (wait, is the dude himself named that?) performed the song this morning on Good Morning America.
By the way? The song is a mash-up of “Sweet Home” and Warren Zevon’s “Werewolves of London”. Yeah. He mashed two songs together. And didn’t even do it well. Way to make an effort. Ugh. Zevon should plod out of his grave and punch Rock in his rat head!

Remixes are never good. He broke the mold, this one is great.

I understand how many people might not love this song. But if you’re from Michigan, this is the ultimate summer song. I know when I’m driving up north this weekend I’ll be jamming to this song!

Im sorry and i mean no disrespect to Skynyrd but Kid Rock is the biggest fake ever.And he is definitely not the one to label as bringing back southern rock.it died the day Skynyrds plane crashed,yet little people know the real man behind Skynyrd never wanted to be labeled southern rock.considering there are only 2 original members still in the band,all due respect to his brother for sining his heart out for years,i have to believe in what i know about the man himself,RVZ.he would never go for this kid rock thing.he never cared much for city slickers or the city life,Kid Rock is from Detroit and anyone that is his age and hasnt found himself must have some major problems,i was at the waffle house in ATL when he got arrested and he had his bodyguards fighting for him while running his mouth like the little punk he really is,if you are true to yourself like Skynyrd once was ,u wouldnt come out with a rap crap cd then tour with Skynyrd, i understand Skynyrd is trying to reach the mainstream youngsters again but they really dont need it.Everybody loves Skynyrd because they are real,not fake like Kid Rock,im a musician myself and i have all the respect for musicians around and if Kid Rock was a real musician you wouldnt be reading this,he is a bandwagon poor excuse for The one that wants to bring back southern rock, he thinks just because he comes down here to GA huntin with Bocephus that he is welcomed.Well Bob, next time i see you at the waffle house U will have a new prespective on the song Double Trouble.
