This week, as she begins rehearsing her comeback tour, Kylie Minogue is looking ahead to Australia.

“I am very excited about going home, but emotional as well. I warn you now, I’ll be crying,” Minogue told her management team last week.

Certainly, Minogue’s concert promoter, Michael Gudinski, expects a full house of tears when Kylie’s tour opens in Sydney on November 11.

“This is a very emotional and very special homecoming,” Gudinski said. “And as this tour builds and gets closer, those emotions will grow. Kylie is a fighter, she is stronger and she is back.”

Minogue plans a massive hometown party when her tour closes in Melbourne on December 17. In London last week, she said she was easing back into concert preparation.

“I am not overdoing it because I need to do this right.”

And a party it will be. You may not realize how huge of a star Kylie Minogue is in Australia and Europe. Think of Madonna in her heyday.
