When Elton John hosted Saturday Night Live on April 2nd, he mentioned in his opening monologue something about Lady Gaga raising his newborn son.  This made our ears perk up.  Was Gaga, scantily-clad in Greenwich Village February 16th,  the godmother of John’s son, Zachary?  Us Magazine confirms that the coveted title does belong to Gaga.  She is now responsible for guiding and spoiling Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John, born via surrogate to John and his partner David Furnish on December 25th, 2010.

John joked on SNL, “We’ve always said that Mars ain’t the kind of place to raise your kids. And Gaga loves Mars. She says Mars has good schools and great discos.”  In a teaser for tonight’s Barbara Walters 20/20 interview, John confirmed the speculation: “Yes, yes she is. When you get to the real person under there, there’s a real simple person under there who loves her parents.”
